ok had ps3 for a while now and noticed friends how do i add them?

my network name is SGTyogi if anyone can add me that way

You go to Friends on the right side of the XMB, then select Add a Friend. In the "To" field, type the other persons PSN ID, type a message if you want, and click Send.

Alternatively, if it's someone you've met playing a game online you can just go to Recently Met. Then scroll to their ID, press X, and select Add as Friend underneath their ID box.

Anyway, hope that helps.

When you type the friends address in the To field it will do a quick check online to confirm that address/nick exists on PSN.

Yeah, that's really nice. However, I think I've only added one or two friends that way. The rest have been people I've met online.
