TOG - The Older Gamers

Hi TOGgers!

We've recently reinvigorated our [TEA] BF2 team with an influx of new players. Most of our longer-serving members have moved on (or back) to other games like CSS, TF2, CoH, WiC, CoD4 and others.

We are very much in need of a sparring partner so that we can practice our fieldwork. Our guys are fresh to the game and fresh to squad work. Being a former TOGger and forever a huge fan of you guys I thought of you first.

If your team is able, please respond with three approximate dates and times. If it would make it easier I can suggest a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday in the early evening (7 - 8pm) for next week.. the map can be your preference entirely.

Once I have your response I will book a GA server.

If you are unavailable for a friendly match (and no other TOG BF2 team is) then I thank you regardless for your consideration and always look forward to squadding up with you on a pub somewhere.

Hey Pete!

You still remain as one of the most fun and decent people I've ever squadded up with in the game, so a hearty public congratulations to you for being recognised in the same way by the TOG community.

Wish I'd met you later I could have got you into TEA instead

EDIT: last time I posted on the TOG forums things got freaky. I made a joke that was thoroughly misunderstood and then the thread was locked before I could explain! I shot off a few PM's but let the record state here and now that I'm not rude and I do have a gigantic soft spot for the older gamers.

G'day strangerdanger, I'm captain of the TOG Vampires, we'd be happy to scrim you next week say Monday or Tuesday? 9pm AEDT is as early as we can do as 1/2 the team are from QLD so 9pm AEDT still an 8pm match for us.

I'd like to prac a chopper map if you have chopper team in your squad.

Dragon Valley would be good as we both get a chopper, which works well for prac-ing the thing.

Having said that Dalian would be cool too as we had a close ladder match on that recently and would like to work through a few problems we had. (only one chopper that must be fought for but)

If choppers are not your thing Jalalabad or City of the Dead are both fun infantry based maps we be keen to scrim on.

I assume the LadderPRO mod is the go?

Hey Phlegm,

Tuesday at 9 sounds good, I'll get the troops together and book a GA server when I get home.

As we're in the 10v10 (and so are you guys I thought?) I think we'd benefit most from Jala or City of the Dead, I'll discuss it with Sneddy and let you know asap.

I really appreciate your prompt response as well as the Vampire's donating their time.
