Default SLAK Thanks TOG

Afternoon All,

Just thought I’d drop over, say hello and express SLAK’s appreciation of the removal on [SLAK]Anarchy’s ban from the TOG servers.

Coming from a very similar ethically based gaming community we provide our servers for all to use (with fair and reasonable rule guidelines), and pride ourselves on keeping one of the cleanest online playing environments in Australia (just as TOG does), so it was extremely concerning to our community and SLAK directly as a clan to have one of our founding members accused of cheating.

Obviously enquires we made led to the TOG admins evaluating the demo’s taken of [SLAK]Anarchy by TOG admin/members and finding no evidence removed the ban.

For this I on behalf of the SLAK community would like to thank those directly involved for the time they spent viewing and analyzing the demo’s. This thankless task is time consuming and painful to do and evaluate.

I’d also like to thank all the admin and TOG members who after viewing the demo’s were actually interested enough to vote in regard to Anarchy’s ban and have it over turned and not only vindicate Anarchy’s request to be unbanned but also remove the ‘leet Cheater” label that was cast upon him.

For this alone the TOG clan should take pride in it’s members.

It has also gone a long way to alleviating the comment made towards our gaming community on the SLAK forums.

Our whole community was taken back by this as I can assure you all we are very proactive in monitoring players on our servers for ALL our server’s rules. Just like TOG does.

We would also like to not only thanks those TOG players who dropped into our CS and DOD servers, over the time this incident was being sorted out, who were nothing but respectful of our server rules and made the night more enjoyable.

I must also thank Father for his timely intervention and actions, as I know without this the end result may have been very different which would have been a travesty in all ways for SLAK and Anarchy.

I know personally how much time it takes to oversee a gaming community and his intervention in this issue show’s the passion he has not only for TOG but for the online gaming community in general.

Before I finish up I’d like to give a couple of senior TOG members/players (TOG| XXX GH4, TOG|Chief or TOG|-X- or ?) the opportunity to attend our 10th year celebration SLAKfest LAN event in March this year. It is held in the eastern suburbs Mooroolbark) and will be based on CS:S, DOD:S, NS, TFII (if steam updates do not impact) and is always a fun day with random team comps run on the day.

We will all be there and it will give our clans the chance to mix on a more social and personal level.

If TOG would like to put forward a couple of representatives for the event then please just drop me a pm here or on the SLAK forums.

Thank you again for your clan’s efforts and time taken in dealing with this situation.

TOG members are and always will be welcome on the SLAK servers and you are more than welcome to take part in our local clan community wars we run through out the year..

See you all server side (either TOG or SLAK servers)

Top post Reaver

It is always a difficult time when under suspicion, for both clans and all individuals involved. Unfortunately these times we have now with lots of hacks being freely available makes everyone suspicious of good players, or even crap players like me on a good run, which is sad really, and spoils everyones fun, which is why we are here right?

Thanks for the post, and I will draw it to the attention of our CS division.

Thanks Reaver... great post..

I particularly love the sig... it seems like SLAK is just like TOG with Dads army all set and ready to go!

It was good to drop into the SLAK server and shoot Sirbirk a couple of times (sadly he shot me more ), and it was interesting that within 15mins (this was early afternoon) the server had 10 players or so... it didn't take long to get critical mass of players.. I'll have to jump on again one day soon when TOGers are at work and wont come and play

Cheers Mate

we just mite get sum friendships or headshots in the future out of this event

Yeah there is always some SLAK community player loitering waiting for ppl to join. (They should just get in as then the server starts earlier..) So even if empty jump in then grab a beer/coffee/tea and by the time you get back it will have taken off...

Thanks for the posts guys..

Cheers Reavs

Hey guys,

Thought Id intoduce myself. Had a few hit outs on your Call of Duty:4 Server the other day. Not bad. It was refreshing to see a round last more than a minute like on other servers, where everyone charges in, Rambo/Leroy Jenkins style.

Was infact a really refreshing map on S&D. Full server, yet no-one rushed. Could feel the tension in the air. If I move, will someone see me? Was really refreshing. Thanks, and im sure ill be on more often.

One thing, does the TOG COD:4 server get locked for TOGers only? I required a password the other night, or is it only password locked to any not of your community?

Thanks,

If it's anything like the CSS server, they'll lock it when it gets full and TOGs can't get in or if there's some internal TOG only event happening such as the Colts vs Vets matches.

You're always welcome to join TOG if you want to participate in the internal events and matches (if you're over 25 ). We've a CS:S vs DOD:S vs TF2 shin-dig happening soon. If you ladder with other clans on the same ladder as TOG, you'll be blocked from accessing any division forums for the games you ladder with, but if you don't ladder on GA for source games then you should be fine.
