2142 Server Ban

Hi there,

Some of you will recognise my name. Until recently I have been a happy denizen of the TOG server on occassion.. However, this is no longer the case.



I can assure you that I do not, and have never statpadded. Prior to this ban, the server was on Wake, and I was camping on the EU titan - however, as this is not an uncappable flag, it is not a prohibited action under the posted ruleset.

Would appreciate a review of this ban.

Server: TOG BF2142 Server

I've examined the details of the ban and have this information.

-You were watched collaborating with A-g- Luges_au in opposing walkers on a Tunis Harbour map that day.
-You did not attempt to attack each other, instead killing everything else.
-You even repaired the walkers next to each other and then continued unabated.

This behaviour is classed as stat padding and as such you were banned by the observing administrator for your actions.

.. I see. I don't recall the incident, but if your records say so, then I'm sure it occured. As an aside, this is the first I've heard of such behaviour being considered statpadding.. It may be my unfamiliarity with the TOG ruleset.. but to my knowledge it is not considered statspadding elsewhere.

Is there any possibility of the ban being removed in the future?

Statistic padding in this instance is applicable since your intent was to raise your score/kill count without any interference from the enemy walker. In doing this, it gave you and A-g- Luges_au an unfair advantage over other players in the server at that time. Collusion between players on opposing teams in order to increase positive stats will not be tolerated in any form.

Your ban may be reviewed after consultation between the server administrators and a decision from that review will be posted in this thread in due course.

I don't even play BF2, but that point would be pretty clear in ANY online game...?????

Your ban has been reviewed and the following decision has been made jointly between the server administrators.

Your ban will be changed from permanent to a one month duration, upon the acceptance of the following conditions;

-You need to acknowledge what you did was wrong.
-Any further future infractions will result in the ban status being reset to permanent.

Thanks for your considerations Vulcan.

Upon examining the various outcomes of my actions, I admit that the act I was banned for can be seen as statpadding - obviously, statpadding in any form is wrong, and I freely admit this.

I accept that any further infractions will result in a permanant ban.

A quick query: Will the 1 month last from the time of the ban itself or from the time of this post?
