Okay, this isn't an application, it's a request for advice.

Hey guys.

I've been playing BF2142 quite a bit recently and while playing, especially gunshipping, I have have really enjoyed playing with some of your members. In addition, I've been looking for a BF2142 clan with significant amounts of members in the Aus/NZ timezone. However, after reading your definition of an "older" gamer, I realise I don't fit what you're looking for.

I'm sure you get quite a bit of begging for places from those who don't meet your requirements, and I'm not going to ask you to change your rules for me, however I do have a couple of questions.

1. I have seen players in locked squads with tagged =TOG= members who appear to be tagged =TYG= members. Is this just an unfortunate typo, or is there a "The Younger Gamers"?

2. Given the apparent size and breadth of your clan, I figure that you've probably scrimmed/worked alongside with a few BF2142 clans. Would you be willing to refer me to one that you respect and that I would meet the requirements for?

Thanks for posting, it's much appreciated. I can't say I know your name in game (I'm a 2142'er) is your forum name here the same as your solider name?

To answer your question:

1. Our 25 year age requirement is the cornerstone of TOG and will not change. As you can appreciate, if we changed for one then we'd have to change for all. Pretty soon, the whole thing's somewhat devalued. That said, I do appreciate your honesty very much indeed.
2. =TYG= does stand for "the younger gamers". This is a tag worn by TOG kids (our kids) so we know to look out for our young'uns in game. That said, it's not an official TOG thing and is not supported in any way by TOG.
3. As to what clans are are around - that depends on what you want to do in a clan. Hard core gaming? Casual stuff? There are a large range of clans between the two extremes but one I've always been fond of is <Merc>. They offer a nice blend of the two gaming types. That's not to say others are worse etc but I've recommended Merc to a few folks and so far no complaints

I know of several clans that could be a possibility but like Battlescoob has said it depends on what you are looking for.

Hi Lone Wulf.
I'm one of the =TOG= 2142 ladder team captains and as such I mix with a lot of other clans and I can tell you that AGN and ADP are the best of them as far as nice blokes go.

AGN's captains are Jango fett and Antaries
Or my personal all time favourite clan that I'd probably join if I didn't love TOG so much ADP.[ADP] Battlefield 2142 Division
Talk to Nubb3r,Anderz or Sharky at ADP.
You couldn't go far wrong with either of those two clans.

Hey guys, thanks for the quick and comprehensive response. I'll give the other clans you suggested a look see, and thanks for the reccomendations. I have Four in-game names. One class is unlocked on each account. They are, AchtungPanzer, Faust-19, Angriff19, and RedNineteen. If you see me in game, and I'm not gunshipping and you want a pilot or gunner, invite me to a squad and tell me. I'm always keen to fly or gun.

If you played bf2 I was called WraithofShadow.
