Default From Misty Mountaineers

Hello OLDGAMERS,

I am Leafdag from Misty Mountaineers in Lotro on the Elendilmir Server. Our Kinship has been having problems lately and seeking a merger with another kinship. Someone suggested we merge with the TOG so i thought i would introduce myself and kinship to you.

Our Kinship was started just after Lotro Beta from what i have been told and is regarded as one of the Original Kinships on the server. Last Year about this time pre-moria we lost a lot of kin members either for waiting Moria exp or wanting to start or join a Raiding Kinship. What was left behind was Casual players and steadily we have been losing players and attendance record is very low in the kinship. For this reason we cannot raid or learn to raid. Myself being the second in command has decided something needs to be done with the backing of our kinship leader Forbidyntoo. One of our Officers was in your kinship Derketo and he speaks very highly of you guys.

But from here i am not sure where to go? Do we merge or stay in a kinship where we are only flogging a dead horse to death.

What i would like to know "IF" we merge with your kinship how do we go about it? A lot of our kinship members are super casual and come from working backgrounds where they may not be able to play for weeks or months. Could we possibly bring one our toons into your kinship and leave a alt in the MM kinship just to let other players where we have gone.

Most of our players come from US and Europe ,there is only about 2-3 of us from Australia ,myself included from Adelaide. I have a hearing problem and play mainly during the daylight hours.

We do have a website at mistymountaineers.freeforums.org so you are quite welcome to create a account and visit it . Its not very active but i read it most days. Your rules and regulations are very basic and what our kinship is aligned too. We do not like DKP systems and loot hogging but we believe you roll on only what you need ,no rolls for alts.

Thanks for your time and the offer we will await your response soon.

regards

Leafdag ,Officer in MistyMountaineers

Hi Leafdag,

You'll want to Speak with Markan (Division Captain of LOTRO) or Yurick the Guild Leader of The Osgiliath Guard.

So long as those members who wish to join The Osgiliath Guard meet the requirements to join TOG(The Older Gamers) it's as simple as post up your characters in the invite thread in the LOTRO Division Forums.

Hi Leafdag

As Nestaron said we have an open membership policy across all the games we play. If you are a TOG member then you can join the LOTRO kinship (or join us in any game - and we play a few!). To be a TOG member you just need to be over 25 and agree to the rules

I think one of you posted in the Turbine forums and one of our members pointed at us, so off the back of that Yurick (who is the kinship leader for the OG) was going to contact an official in-game for a chat. Obviously we are happy to help people get more out of the game but we also don't want to come across as predatory in any way.

I'll point Yurick (who is Oz based as well) at this thread as it looks like you might be the right person to talk to. Your member profile certainly sounds very similar to ours and we have loads of very casual players.

I hope that you can get things sorted out and we will help in any way we can.
