AEF CSS Tournament

AEF Counter-Strike Source Tournament

The AEF will soon be holding its own in-house Counter-Strike Source Tournament. The Tournament, which will run for approximately 3-4 weeks, will consist of 6-7 teams with each team having a minimum of 6 games. All matches will be played on AEF servers and there will be SourceTV available on every server.

There is also the option however to have a 2v2 comp rather then a 5v5 comp as it allows twice the amount of matches to be played. We don't mind if it's 5v5 or 2v2 but would like to hear what you guys think, there's always room for compromise.

Each match will use standard war settings as used on CyberGamer, GameSpace etc.

The current map list is as follows: (may change depending on 2v2 or 5v5)

- de_dust2
- de_nuke
- de_inferno
- de_train
- de_season
- de_tuscan

The first week will act as a bit of a trial period to see how smoothly everything runs and will be used to determine how long we will actually need to run the entire comp.

As for prizes etc, currently we don't have anything set, however if all teams are interested, we could set up an Anti-Cheat client such as X-Ray and have a cash prize up for grabs. If all else fails, the winner will of course yield ultimate bragging rights until the next tournament.

I guess not too many of the TOG CS:S crew have spotted this thread yet, since I'd imagine there would be a few who'd be keen for some war action. If we can get a team together my vote is for 5v5, since 2v2 would suk
