Mujibar - thanks for your interest in the TOG 2142 server. The rules are set and have been in place "as is" for over a year. If you find you have to use the transport in a ramming manner - you may find yourself kicked and or banned from the server. There are several public servers which still allow this practice, ours is not one of them.

We have tidied up the wording on the scrolling messages in the global text (every 2 minutes). Those scrolling messages and the text on the load screen are our way of being transparent with our server rules, and we encourage all players to abide by them.

Ok, if you don't mind I'm going to pick this apart.

No problem, though it'd be great if I could f**cking connect. Oh yes, it seems I've been banned. What for? No idea. Wasn't warned about anything. Wasn't warned about being banned.. Just, randomly lost connection with a 'punkbuster' message pop up - had no information, just the title 'punkbuster'. Then upon trying to reconnect, kept getting the 'you have been banned by a admin or due to excessive team killing'.

Oh yeah, I understand that whatever I say can't change the rules.. They're there for a purpose and work perfectly.. I was just expressing my opinion on the matter.

Sometimes, you actually have no choice.. I'm not saying you HAVE to ram.. I'm saying that sometimes you have to crash.. Trying to get away from the damned gunship on your tail so you go in low. You come in too low or get shot at by a AA, you loose control (happens to me) and you crash into something. I understand the rules and go by them (well, I do when I'm actually able to connect).. But if I get kicked or banned for one of these accidental rammings (crashings), then theres something wrong, and I have a problem.

There are several public servers which still allow this practice, ours is not one of them.

I will admit, being rammed is VERY annoying. And I tend not to frequent servers that allow it.. I'd love to be able to connect to the one good low ping one that I've found (TOG 2142 TITAN)

I`ll PM you as to why you were banned.
As for the rest of the above.
No we werent having a go at you for querying the rules we were just reinforcing them.
Ramming...you wont get kicked for an accidental. If you do accidentally ram just type up sorry usually suffices
The reason why Redgum typed what he did was to your wording of what you would do....

So why not? Theres nothing wrong with it, you'll find the occasional fighter or helicopter pilot that will (when noone else in fighter or heli) crash into the enemy to take some of them down with them..
I fully support using transports as a last resort weapon against the enemy when theres noone else in it but you and you won't kill any allies

basically you just stated its ok to ram as a last resort...and no its not on our server..veer to the left or right and crash into a open area.

that is an automated standard PB response for all bans no matter what the outcome.
