So what were people's thoughts on the Demo? I found it good and wishing I had DX10.

hELLO tOG: apparently DX10 can be set to run with XP ..being a noob dont know how to do this...see Custer over @ MP...HE NOSE.

Yep, there's a whole section on how to do it apparently. I guess I was thinking more about a GPU that will do the trick as I only run a Radeon 1950xtg (512Mg).

Yes it's one of the best looking games on the market BUT the gameplay is crap IMO.
Multiplayer
Was buggy as hell
Single player
I put a whole round in AI from 10m away and they don't die, then I use a pistol from 50m away and I 1 shot kill them ???
Far Cry was heaps better.
May-be it will get better on release or once they patch it a couple of times but until then TF2 still has my vote

for GOTY (for gameplay away)

It is a bit weird with the kill shots in the demo.

Although, I have a suspicion that it's to do with their armour. A head shot in almost any game is an instant kill. In this game, it aint. Why? Nail a clean head shot from the rear, and you'll see the helmet fly off. One more, and they're down for the count. Similarly with body armour. I think they've got the hitboxes pretty tight... but it's hard to tell with just the demo. Freaked me out a few times, but once figured out... seems pretty good to me.

Scoob... DX10 is SWEET!! Seriously, the textures and lighting are amazing. I can only run it on medium, and it still looks incredible... but on high (five frames a sec) it's simply stunning. I think I'm bottlenecked at my CPU though!!

So far, I'm loving this game. Definite buy.

I've heard that setting quality to low makes things easier to spot (haven't tried it yet). That sux the big one, cause in multiplayer I'll have to discard the lush graphics if I don't want to get pwned by kiddies

On the positive side, punching out crabs and hurling their bodies on (cylon voice) MAXIMUM STRENGTH (/cylon voice) is righteous
