Can you confirm that this isn't a GFX card issue? I'm getting the banding too, but for more than just two parts of the demo.

Good to read the feedback. I find people's "takes" on games very interesting. What some people love, others loathe. I guess thats what makes the world go round.

For me, disappointed with the performance of my machine (E6600, GTX, P-35DS3R, 2G 667). Admittedly I am trying to run it at 1900/1200 on my 24". Medium makes it playable despite the auto detect saying "very high" as recommended. The paradrop screen on v.high is unwatchable.

The game is really nice. The movement seems good, the terrain amazing, the ability to use vehicles/surroundings makes it "feel" right to me (coming from the Battlefield series).
Graphics - wow, the water detail is special.

I am yet to get my head around how good/bad MP will be (I wasn't part of the Beta), but I'll definately get the game when it's released and give it a good flogging. For some reason I can see myself playing this on Single Player only....maybe it's because I can take my time to explore and look at the postcard views

This is the only game I have had banding on .. I run a 8800GTX.

Supreme Commander which can also be taxing runs fine. It is a demo problem.

I am not sure what yours is ... your PSU is not that flash for the power hungry ATI.

It could be heat related too. Take the side of your case off and run with a fan blowing into the case (aimed at your graphics card).

It starts to really show what this engine is able to do, even if it is really hammering his GTX.

damn that video is amazing, the final part where he shoots the trees and the sunlight bursts though the canopy. gorgeous. the payoff of course is that he's getting an average of 12fps lol. Cmon nVIDIA bring out a new TopEnd card!!!!

Jsut palying it now, on an IBM Lennovo work laptop (T61p) no less. Running everything on 960x600, low settings except for Shaders Quality on High (setting this to anything else gives me a weird no skin on anything view... jsut eyeballs staring back!!).

Thought I would be missing out but the eye candy even at that level is pretty great considering what we had not so long ago.

'm loving the cloak, sprint, grab a guy and throw him at another while shooting the third type action. And the water running off your mask when you get out of water is great for the "experience".

Methinks I'll be getting it. Seriously it makes me think I'm all Action Man again!

As for current hardware not running a latest releas game at it's highest detail?

Seriously, when was the last time that happened?

*EDIT * (Not that I have anything against spam)... I like the cute touches like seeing shopping trolleys dumped in the jungle and being able to grab a chicken and carry it and see it still moving. Pity the poor things perish when you then throw them.... be nice to throw them at an enemy and flutter! lol.
