Default Anyone successful at running without the DVD?

Has anyone been able to use some sort of "no DVD" solution to run this game (yes, I have a legitimate DVD version of the game, registered, etc.). I just want some way to be able to "save" the wear and tear on my DVD, and use a disk-based image instead.

No, I don't want to buy a whole 'nother download copy...

Hmm, I could suggest a site that has the files you mention. I think I'd be violating tog policy though. whatever, it's for legitimate backup: gameburnworld, and gamecopyworld both have no-dvd patches. download at your own risk, and I do not endorse pirating games. *disclaimer*

I would assume this isnt a breach of policy as using mini-iso's no-cd's patches etc to run without disks in drive are OFTEN used to save wear on your original disks. Other then that I have nothing to add as I also use the two mentioned sites to get my mini iso's.

Nice work fellas.

It's a very touchy topic that has very grey boundaries. In this case I think it's fine to do what you need to do. I don't need to tell anyone here about the rules as it seems you've all beaten me to it!

Game on guys!

No such luck for me. I didn't find anything at gameburnworld, but was able to find a listed solution at gamecopyworld. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

So, is someone here actually successfully using the no-DVD solution for Crysis (preferably under WinXP Pro, but Vista stories welcome too, I suppose)?
I'd be interested in such experiences, and the "how the heck" on your setup...

the no-dvd fix on game-burn world... works!!!
the mini ISO on gamecopy world doesn't seem to work .
I have an 11 year old that is very rough on discs so this sort of thing is essential...
As a long time gamer I've realised that it is much better to buy a real copy of games you love...(still test others on pirate but will buy a real if good)

I ended up getting it to work by using one of the "FIX" versions on gamecopyworld. So I'm a happy boy now... (hubba hubba hubba hubba hubba!)

Not 100% sure, but if you jump on a PunkBuster enabled server using your "fix", I'd expect you to never be able to play another PB enabled game online ...

Suggest you do some research ...
