I've played this for a few hours last weekend and I'm enjoying it a lot. Every time I log in it's like a "zombie apocalypse" survivor's story being told.
It's not everyone's cup of tea though; your death is permanent, and the map is absolutely huge - it'll take you literally hours just to get from one end of the map to the other, and sometimes you won't be seeing much action at all.
You can pick your pace: I've ended up scavenging the country side for two hours, only to come across a handful of zombies (and some very nice gear). Another time I was tiptoeing through a zombie-infested city with my heart pounding: A gang of bandits wanted that compass that I picked up from one of their dead mates' bodies, there were bullets flying everywhere, and zombies darting out of buildings only to run past my hiding place and straight for the shooter.
I can say that it's one of the most intense games I've played over the last years!
Currently playing: DayZ; Crusader Kings II; Borderlands 2; Arma 3
