Default Day Z - ARMA II mod

Ok this is pretty simple. 4 questions:
1. Is anyone playing this?
2. Is it any good?
3. Do you want to team up?
4. On TS, where should I find other players?[EDIT: Given noone plays COD:MW2 anymore perhaps we could hijack their channels?]

1. I'm not, but I want to.
2. Dunno, but it really looks rather good.
3. If I were playing I most certainly would want some buddies to team with!
4. Good question!

I'm dead keen to play some of this but can't justify spending $30 on a game I don't want just so I can try a mod I might like. Will wait for an ARMA 2: CO special and then jump in neck deep.

I'm playing it, and it's quite a unique experience. I've only played on one server so far, and the biggest threat were bandits (players who kill other players) who were out to loot what little gear I had.

It's the type of game where you need buddies and VOIP to stand a chance, as you won't make it very far on your own.
I really like it, and I see myself coming back to this game often - I just need to find people to team up with!

Only discovered this today and from what I've seen on youtube.......I WANT IT!

Going to look at grabbing it and then lets see if we can hook up TOG style and crush the zombies!

From the (limited) research I've done, you need Arma2 and then download this mod and then you can play, if you can log into a server as apparently the servers are getting smashed at the moment.

I've played this for a few hours last weekend and I'm enjoying it a lot. Every time I log in it's like a "zombie apocalypse" survivor's story being told.

It's not everyone's cup of tea though; your death is permanent, and the map is absolutely huge - it'll take you literally hours just to get from one end of the map to the other, and sometimes you won't be seeing much action at all.
You can pick your pace: I've ended up scavenging the country side for two hours, only to come across a handful of zombies (and some very nice gear). Another time I was tiptoeing through a zombie-infested city with my heart pounding: A gang of bandits wanted that compass that I picked up from one of their dead mates' bodies, there were bullets flying everywhere, and zombies darting out of buildings only to run past my hiding place and straight for the shooter.

I can say that it's one of the most intense games I've played over the last years!
