Who's interested in vanilla Arma or DLC?

I would be interested in giving it a go, although I'm not quite as tactically minded and are really destined as cannon fodder. Also all about timing, though it seems like my afternoons tie in quite nicely with you lot. Just the problem of being addicted to DayZ at present.

Hey guys I'm actually interested in playing some vanilla Arma just to get some practice with some guns and try a few SP missions that I can play when I dont have a good internet connection.

However everytime I try to it messes up and wont let me do it due to the weapon restrictions for dayz so was wondering if you guys knew how to run vanilla arma instead of dayz without having to go through messing around with files and whatnot.

Yeah steam version, using sixlauncher to play dayz, I try loading up arma through steam and click combined ops to which it auto loads dayz

Nuh-uh, not Combined Ops, ArmA II. Both titles should be in your steam games.

I have six launcher installed but I only ever use it to update to join a particular server that's giving me a bad version. ie, I type in the server name, update to it, then close six.

I always launch dayz from the dayz beta shortcut, and always launch arma from steam. Six is the devils work and no good will come of it.

There are FAR TOO MANY ways to install and play this mod. The fact combinations of them make the base game unplayable is seriously messed up imo. Try removing the @dayz mod flag from your steam launch options.

Ahh ok yeah I getcha, loaded ArmA II and it worked as you said, cheers Noises.

Yeah I just use it to verify that I have the right version and then load it normally because it always says every server has 9999 ping.
