Improve ArmA2 gameplay?

I've been playing DayZ for about a week off and on, and I really like the game... but the ArmA2 engine feels clunky.

One thing I changed the other day really helped was turning off "mouse smoothing".

Any other tips on improving the feel of the game?

#1 tip - jump into the TS channel.

Without a doubt the best thing you can do. Playing with other TOGers improves the game 100 fold.

I have two screens so I play in windowed mode, so that I can view the map as well while I play.
