Preordered on Steam. Shame we won't be having a TOG division though.

I agree. I saw the same exact thing happen when Tabula Rasa was getting close to release. A LOT of bugs (now being revealed during the TwitchTV Partners weekend streamings), silence from the Devs, issues which should have been solved months before, etc.

Eventually Richard Garriott (Lord British - then Director of NCSoft USA) admitted that between the original failed East+West game idea (with all that time wasted) and the newer less-time-to-produce version, alpha & beta testing should have been extended months before release. But NCSoft was being pressured to release the game on the Investors' time schedules. And the rest is history. -*(

I hope the Defiance game fares better.

P.s. When I visited TRION, I let them know I would speak my mind and not hold my opinions back to curry favor...they were fine with that.

Says who? Not during testing, no. When the beta NDA is lifted, why not?

I think it will for three reasons:

1. The TV show, that will accompany the game, and will provide constant advertising and reasons for players to log in. Already I'm seeing TV advert slots that promote the game, and recent interviews with developers/cast members hint to having things from the TV show, being directly ported into the game.

So even if the game tanks, on its own merits, there will always be people who will watch the show and from that, want to log into the game. Even it's just to see place "x" or character "y" in the game world.

2. The game isn't riding on the over-inflated ego, of a pompous arse game developer.

3. Trion do have a few moderately successful MMO's (e.g Rift) under their belt, so they should know what they are doing by now.

Yeah looks good.
dl now on xbox. Shame they won't be in the same world.
I'm guessing no mention of mobile device app or integration.
Off to check if dd worth it.
Any mention if show is screening 15 Apr on syfy on Aussie foxtel ?
I can't see subscription required, so guessing DLC payments will be required.

Still haven't recd the PC client download link. Anyone have it ?
Got the client installer, but said account wasn't eligible.
Once I received the email the dl link was on the account page & was eligible to install.
