Yeah it's wicked stuff, I cannot wait for co-op Portal!

So far I've resisted (just) the urge to watch them. It's a guaranteed purchase, so have decided to go into it unspoilt by the recent and likely future video teasers.

How long said resistance lasts is of course anyone's guess. :rolleyes:

oh, well, you wouldn't like then any way. They just show the really cool graphics, and the new things to play with, thats all.

Man, I gotta play Portal 1 first....

Never got around to it because I didn't want to buy Orange Box.

I'll have to watch for discount days on Steam.

Man u missed when they were giving it away...They'll probably do a P2 pre-order deal that gifts P1 as well

I enjoy Portal ...but I struggle with it a bit. It's not just the feeling of nausea I get in some areas (bounce through there, then over there, zoom across to there, through the floor...etc etc) but I also struggle a bit with the puzzles. I am big enough to admit I'm not quite logic enough for this not to be painful sometimes.

Portal 2 looks absolutely fantastic. Will I buy it....once again...I am big enough to admit I probably wouldn't get very far before I would be totally stuck and staring at the screen like a pole-axed bear. Maybe one day...

Wow. I like the inclusion of the slippery fluids. This should be one game that won't disappoint.

Ok, so I bought Portal 1 for fathers day and I was finished by 4pm.....

So... ummm... when is Portal 2 coming out?

I'm sure the questions have been asked millions of times before, but since today was my first time ever to play Portal, I'll ask all over again.

Is the charater you play an andriod or human?
Throughout the game there are references to others that have tried to escape before you with left over stashes of food and water. At one time the Boss refers to you as an andriod. At the end of the game when your sucked to the surface you seem to be dragged back to the facility with some functioning ability (as in you see the debris falling around you but cannot see what is dragging you back to facility).

Is the character always female?
There is a refernce to bring your daughter to work day. Trailers don't seem to show much.

So why does Aperture run without any humans?
There are empty places everywhere with empty seats, radios, etc. There was a refernece that all humans have died out. There is a refence by Boss that it tried to kill everybody with (nerve?) gas but was stopped.

What is the purpose of the testing?
I couldn't seem to find a purpose to it all. Good Valve story telling by not telling a story but reading it with the events/stashes/quotes going on around you. But no purpose as to why you do the test.
