It's just a list of email messages. Open it and have a look.

Cheers Drac.
Update on the hijacked account.
Steam have reinstated my son's account today, so he is a VERY happy chappy.
Many thanks to everyone for their help.

the system kinda works...when my boy Biggles got hijacked the jackee spammed his friends list then stole all of Biggles TF2 items...Some of the people the perp was messaging questioned his identity and he logged off (thanks Bo and Pow). Luckily I was monitoring this and quickly logged in and changed his pass. So we had his account back. I wrote a letter to Steam Support outlining what happened and Steams solution was to disable Biggles' recovered account. It's like they didn't read the letter at all...Took 2 days and 3 more letters to get it re-enabled

What you expect them to read the email, like the whole email? Isn't reading the subject line enough?

Glad he got the account back. Don't imagine they helped out with restoring the TF2 items then.

SOP for any sort of support operation these days, alas - they're not interested in actually fixing the problem to your satisfaction because that doesn't help them (the person acting on your support query) at all; what helps them is ticking another box, incrementing the "completed support queries" counter and moving on to the next one...
