Default EA Subscription Packages

I completed one of EA's market research questionnaires just for fun and was surprised when one of the questions looked like this:

So it seems they will be offering some quite good value packages. Their whole games catalogue and 2 new games on release date for $120 a year. That is basically the price of the two new releases so you will get the rest for free. Not sure how many games they will offer though.

The vast majority of their current catalogue is rubbish and the few good PC games currently available are mostly linear short singleplayer titles.

I reckon unless you REALLY like the sims it's a pretty crappy deal.

Like everything related to Origin, I'd much prefer that offer via Steam.

Interesting that they are thinking that way, but I look at the whole digital catalogue that they currently have via Origin and I wonder if it really is as good value as it sounds. The upside definitely would be the ability to try out more games that don't have demo's which currently I write off as not worth the risk to purchase. The downside would be based upon the Australian EA Store/Origin I'd expect they'd be charging us quite a bit more that the stated figures.

Somehow I think in the fineprint it'll read, if you end your sub you lose all access to the games.

well how i read those questions is you have to pay for a sub to get these games and once the sub is up you can't play them and you have no ownership of those games.
