the launch supports floating in the air is a result of the old romfarer.dll being called. I believe a cclean install, with new 0.2compatible Mechjeb, Kerbal Engineer, lazors, might fix the problem. It did for me .

BTW, I still have trouble getting into the orbit I want. I've killed 9 Kerabls so far before even getting above 100km. staging is ok, I just need to get to grips with the ASAS and gravity turn. I call fatigue .

Playing around with 0.2

... my god, it's full of stars! ... Wait, no. Monkeys. It's definitely full of monkeys.

In the previous shot you may see something I've been working on ...

ever since i saw the seat i have just wanted to stick it on a big rocket maybe acme rocket style in roadrunner....

Finally got docking to work! here is the NAM KSS

Next is to load up some lander on it and go to another planet!

My lazors still blow up on the launch pad, I have done 2 complete re-downloads of KSP, so not sure what is going on.

Probably worth deleting the install folder after uninstall. The Romfarer.dll might still be hiding in there somewhere.

i know it kinda cheating, but i've grown fond of the hyper drive... it lets you get big and unwieldy thing into an orbit... or just save you the effort....

It's not cheating if you enjoy the outcome. It's your game time.

KSP is up there with complexity and nuance. I cranked up Eve-Online for the first time in months as a breather from all the negative launch outcomes (explosions, dead Kerbals) I was getting. I needed a space fix, but KSP was frustrating the hell outa me for a wee while.

Rock on!

Started making a base on Laythe. Takes SO LONG to get there ... I have about 3 flights going at once, hope that everything makes re-entry in one piece and THEN hope it lands the right way up (this is never a 'sure-thing')

Just got my first UAV there - that was pretty easy as it only weighs 3 ton fully loaded with fuel and can do a full lap of the moon on its one tank (lower gravity - also makes landing a safer, yet longer, drawn out affair).

Size comparison to the UAV and the 7-seater rover;

Sonic BOOM!

Whilst putting this up I got it to 500m/s (and climbing). Seems 12,000 metres is the sweet spot for those engines
