...which from a user interface design perspective is pretty dumb on Steam's part, but meh... minor quibble in the overall scheme of things.

I rightclick the trayicon and exit, its definately closing not minimising. All the other steam things (like friends lists and chat windows etc) all shut down.

Yeah, I also just right click the tray icon and choose Exit. And I also intermittently find that Steam.exe is still running in the task manager and won't let me start steam again. So maybe it is a common bug. But it doesn't happen all the time.

Yeah well, I don't usually reload it back up after often, so its probably intermittent for me also.
