Default Which Company of Heroes is played most online?

The Company of Heroes games are on a 75% off sale this weekend. I already have a hard copy of Opposing Fronts but I am tempted to get a Steam copy of Tales of Valor.

I would like to maybe try out a few online games so my question is: Which version is most popular for online gamers?

This post/thread on the SUF might help:

How CoH Works - Retail and Steam builds working together! - Steam Users' Forums

The three games all merge in to one (ie., I can double-click on "Company of Heroes" in Steam, but I have access to all "Opposing Fronts" and "Tales of Valor" content within the one game).

My understanding is that "Owners of Opposing Fronts will be able to play against owners of Company of Heroes and vice versa, although only using the armies from the game they own. Owners of both games will be able to play all four armies in multiplayer." - I haven't actually tried/confirmed this for myself, though.

(Later...)

My (limited) understanding of CoH is that Tales of Valor added the "Operations" to the multiplayer aspect of the game - that being the case, a quick check shows that right now there are far more "Classic" or "Skirmish" games on-line than "Operations" games.

There's like acomplete pack for US$14 wasn't there? Looked tempting, I have the original game from when I purchaesd my graphics card I think. I played it for a few levels, but while I'm fairly good in most games I'm just craptastiscally awful in RTS games.

As far as I know you do as it seems to be tied into your online player account as well.

I just shut the relic dl thing down when I play

Re which game is played more online - unknown is right - everyone has all the content, anyone can play anyone, as far as I'm aware.

usually I arrange a game online with mates, rather than having my old man's butt kicked by the usual suspects.
