Fine
Default Pommie george steam issue

Steam starts up as normal, i can see my games. I go to community to see who's on. All is good. Then i refresh the page and it then asks me for my login and password.

Not a biggie, but annoying all the same. When I start steam it logs me in automatically. It only asks me when i refresh the community page

Strange. Perhaps some issue with IE (Internet Explorer) - maybe related to your security settings? If you've told IE to not store any cookies ~might~ could prompt you to log in again - that's a bit of a shot in the dark though.

I say it may be an IE issue because any windows program can use the version of IE installed on your computer to display webpages inside their program window, called an embedded version or IE. Steam does this for the Store and Community tabs, so any IE setting you have made will also be used there.

I've just installed windows 7, (probably should have mentioned that, sorry), and haven't changed any settings at all.

Logging in to Steam is not the same as logging in to Steam Community. They are two different accounts I believe.

The phishing scam they're talkin about atm is a link to the community page (that looks just like it anyway) and asks you to log in. Mind you if it was through steam then I wouln't worry about that.
If it's in a web brower then I'd worry. I've experience a virus that redircts traffic from certain sites to another that mimics it.

Aside from that I've had to login in sometimes too. I tried the refresh just then but got no reaction.
