Can't see it in the other major regions either. Wonder if it wasn't meant to go up for a month or so (after initial higher price sales have slowed down) and someone didn't take note of the date properly. Would seem strange to put it up and pull it within the day/hours - someone had to have approved it at EA in the first place.

One of the DICE project managers (or whatever his title is) for BF:BC2 actually linked to and announced the availability of the 4-pack from his Twitter feed. A newer update reads:

Quote:
Why was the 4-pack BFBC2 bundle removed from Steam? It was the wrong version of the game, should hopefully come back online again soon.
Current thinking is that the 4-pack will return after around March 16, when the "Limited Edition" is no longer avilable via Steam.

Talking about strange pricing, noticed this morning that Metro 2033 had gone from $69.99USD with a "free" copy of RF:Guerilla to $49.99USD at launch this morning wihtout RF:G. So much for it being free LOL :P

Steam pricing over the last couple of weeks has been all over the place.

I think I saw DoW2: Chaos Rising go up $10 for no apparent reason the other week then come back down again

I've gotten very weary of pre-ordering anything lately because of all the strange pricing changes.

BF:BC2 also dropped from $70 to $50 now that it is a "standard" edition.

(Metro dropped from $80 ...)

Excellent, I will have $49.99 ready to go as soon as my thesis is handed in. I almost felt tempted to buy it right now, but I need to focus on my thesis for the next few months and a new game will not help.

Steam should really dictate an protocol for publishers listing their games...

They should have an initial price, which should remain the same until such time that they choose to officially lower the price of the game.

In the interim to promote a sale they should implement a sale price for limited periods of time which give customers enough time to purchase the game

And of course they should offer a discounted price for pre-order customers too

As much as possible though the random price movements should be discouraged

This rollercoaster of prices is a joke
