Its an RTS game (WW2 I think) with the emphasis on tricking your opponents. Think its very much intelligence based combat, from the video i saw a while back you could create fake armies to send at your opponent while you flanked them with your actual forces etc. Looks rather interesting, ive preloaded it - will be playing sometime this week.

I also pre-loaded it but it disappeared.

Just downloaded it again. It looks exceptionally promising and the graphics are absolutely superb. If it wasn't 3 months out I'd have bought it today.

if you come across any bugs looks like you'll have to do it on their forums as their bug report tool doesn't work and the link takes you to their site an the kicker is there is no beta well thats what it says on that page at least lol

Well for what it is worth (and it is only my opinion), it ain't all that crash hot.

I D/L'd it and have been playing it over the last two days against AI and I cannot get excited. Probably there will be others that love it, but not for me as it is. I shall however persevere over the next couple of weeks to see if it grows on me (maybe like a dose of tinea).

The problem I have with it is that it was originally presented as a deeper strategy game where the RUSE or deception could lead to huge swings in battle. I enjoy chess and games along that line because it is about planning and a certain amount of deception at times. This is like a bad game of chess on speed while wearing badly scratched dark glasses. Forget planning and thought. You just begin and build, build, build and blast away. I described it on the feedback section as a board version of "run and gun". You don't get any time to gather the info, work on a tactic and implement it properly. You just seem to have to dive in guns a blazin' and pray for the best. I lost the first round and then won a couple and lost one or two more before winning again; And I CANNOT say that the winning was through anything more than just building as many heavy BANG type things as possible and throwing them at the enemy as fast as you little mouse clicky finger will let you. I think that with a little more thought and a steadier pace, that it would come alot closer to what was originally promoted by the developers. On that note; I am not trying to slag off at the developers, as it is not easy to make a marketable game that grabs people, which this game will get some devoted fans, I am sure. But afraid not this puppy.

It would appear that the zoo still has the freaks flaming people for not agreeing with them or stating their disappointment with the game or a part of it. No wonder I had avoided the zoo for the last couple of years.

If you are into the go-go-go kazillion mile per hour spray and pray, or maybe a fan of some of the other features of that type of gaming, you may well enjoy it and should probably give it a go on the public beta while it's free.

Rant done

It did look a little simplistic but I'm hoping that it was a very small map that didn't really show its true potential. It seemed to be an amass a large army and storm the enemy type scenario. I guess we'll know more closer to release...?

4x the map size (at least) which will prolong the warfare and I think there could be a winner in there.

You may be somewhat right Purg. Maybe on alot larger map than that on the Beta, you may get time to manouvre and think. But especially on the Beta map, I fin it too fast and close quarters for a "strategy" game.

I played it several more times today and found that I could either attack the enemy straight out of the box throwing everything I could make at them from the start, or fend them off and build like buggery until I had a bigger army than them and hit back. Either way, there did not seem to be alot of thought involved, but more a case of go-go-go as fast as you can from start. Not really a tactical marvel to me I am afraid.

Cheers.

yeah i found the AI to easy and got abit bored,as i had to wait afew days before i could play the multiplayer as there were no servers.this beta is meant to be for multiplayer and i noticed while playing multiplayer that some players just sat back built up and just bombed you to hell then tank rushed you an to be honest thats basicly what the AI did most of the time too at least with me anyway.so i'll just have to see what they do to improve it
