Weird Economics: Half Life 1 stillborn on the Mac in 1998.
Interesting video interview with a Woman who worked for LogicWare, a Mac Games technology company with a story about how there was, then wasn't a version of Half Life 1 for Mac back in 1998, complete with Cross-Platform online multiplayer which would have been a world first.
How Half Life 1 for Mac Was Canceled At the Last Minute - Mac Rumors This is a prime example of how really weird shit can happen in the game development world. Sadly, lots of stuff like that still happens today.
