Game transfer help

I did a good thing at xmas and gave my sisters son all my Half Life Series ( Those were good times) and he has tried to play and steam will not let him as it keeps telling him the game belongs to me - any suggestions on how to unlock game so he can play it ??????

Im sure other people pass on games after they are finished with them - but how do I notify steam they are now his ?

You can't do this with Steam. Once you register a game to your account it's always yours.

Yep, afraid so. There is absolutely no way to transfer games between Steam accounts. You could have bought them for him for a couple of bucks during the xmas sale. They don't cost that much at regular prices either:

Half-Life 1 pack: $14.99
Half-Life complete pack: $39.99

There was some rumour a little while back we would be able to onsell our steam games and they (valve etc) would take a cut, but it was probably just that, a rumour.

Sadly. I thought it seemed like a great idea. I think the rumour was a buy-back system where you could get Steam credit for games you no longer use.
