Default Quick Steam Question

Just wanting to know if there is any easy way to split a steam folder so some of the games are installed on one drive, and the remainder installed on another?

My current steam folder is installed on my solid state, which is filling fast with all the christmas specials, but I would like to move some of the games that don't need the speed of the Solid State off to my storage spindle and still be able to play them.

I don't want to go down the archive and re-install path.

Yes you can, try Steam Mover it's quite good.

Then try Steam Mover.

Following on from a very interesting post on the Steam forums I've created a little app to make moving the files and creating the junction points much much easier!

Example Use

Here I have my steam folder in the default location, and the application should find that for you. If not, select the \Steam\SteamApps\Common\ folder yourself, and a secondary hard disk D:\, where I have created a folder.

Note that Steam Mover can be used to move any folder around (by changing the Source Path), but for Steam the maximum benefit is in moving individual games from the Common folder.

I think I will need to utilise this myself. Steam has been pushing title after title off my fast drive, and now I only have two non-steam installs still on there. I have also had to uninstall (delete) a number of older steam titles to make space on the drive.
