Default Best FPS from Steam? Bonus: TOG plays it.

What's the best FPS w/ Multiplayer that TOG is currently in , Project blackout isn't robust enough and I'd like to take breaks from my MMO's w/ TOG for FPS from time to time , I'd also like to purchase from Steam because I've never tried the service before.

Thanks for any advice you may share.

Cheers.

*Rephrase question* Did you just buy an FPS from steam that you enjoy and play with TOG in multi-player mode?

There are a few FPS's that I've bought through Steam and enjoyed playing with fellow TOGgers The first is Team Fortress 2 (TF2) which has great gameplay and constant updates to make it interesting (played 688 hours of it) although I now find my time more playing Left For Dead 2 (LFD2) and Battlefield Bad Company 2 (BBC2).

All of these FPS's have a great TOG base of players who will make you feel welcome.

Draadnor's list is pretty good:

Can't go past TF2 for fun and a good friendly division, caters to all levels of skill. You'll find at least one class you can play, there's plenty to choose from, so much to learn, constantly updating, and there's HATS! A lot of emphasis on fun and funny moments.

BFBC2 if you want tanks and helicopters etc, but needs a bit more skill, bit more ruthless to noobs.

and clearly if you like zombie type action L4D2

Check out Monday night combat. It is not exactly FPS but it is an outstanding game and for the price you wouldn't be miffed even if it was not exactly what you were looking for. Good TOG support also, a few people are saying 'Better than TF2', more fun, more balanced and more intense gameplay. There are also Gift passes available from ppl who own the game. look it up

Wiebelhaus,
Seeing that you are in Central Texas, a bit will depend on there being any TOGGERs playing it close to where you are; as the lag to servers that Oceania based toggers play on will not make for a good experience. From the list mentioned I think BC2 might have a North American or at least European contingent and the lag may be lower.

Na , he's saying that me playing oceanic player would be difficult because of latency. I have a really good connection though so I'll try to connect to one of the TOG servers and see what happens , can't hurt.
