how long dpoes it take for steam to reply to a ticket??

i formated my computer and no i need a code to say who i am which hasnt been emailed to me so i put t a ticket in just woulnering how long will i be waiting

For support tickets, up to 24 hours.

Steam Guard challenge emails should show up instantly. If they don't then chances are you've neglected to update your email address in your steam account (which is bad) or your spam filter caught it before it popped into your inbox.

it is i even loged on through the net and change it and nothing still iit now has been 24 hours

the thing is i get a confimation reply in my email but nothing eles? even if i go to retrieve a lost account it says email sent and nothing ?

all this cos i formatted my computer bloody steam gard is poo

It is very difficult to make any sense of what you're saying.

You logged into what on the net?

Steam or Steam support?

Steam accounts and Steam Support accounts are two totally separate and unrelated things, with different user-names/email addresses.

Once you logged in, you changed what exactly?

Your password or your email address?

You recieved a confimation reply from who/what exactly?

As I said before, your support account is totally separate and unrelated to your main steam client account, it says this on steam steam support website when you first try to log in:

If you have not yet created a unique Steam Support account for the Steam Support system, you can do so by clicking Create Account button below. Your Steam Support account is a separate account from your Steam or Forum account. It does not exist by default. Please do not attempt to enter your Steam account information for the Steam Support system, as it will not work.
You could have separate email addresses registered for both as your steam support account is all manageable via the support website so that if you loose access to the email address you used for your main steam client account then you can still engage support about your issue and get it resolved. If both were linked you'd be truly up the creek without a paddle right now. If you change your support account email address, your main steam login email address will not be changed.

I think you'll just need to wait for steam support to reply to your ticket. My 24 hour reply time was a best guess based on my own past experience from them. Steam support may not work weekends or it may be taking them longer to reply to tickets at the moment. At any rate, IICR you can log in to https://support.steampowered.com/ and track support tickets.

my email is the same for both steamn ad sopport hece my confusion ive had steam for a while now all my game now are through steame hrence why im shitty i cant play anything satm

You can not change any account details outside of the Steam client, eg change password, change email address, modify steam guard settings.

Do you have any other email accounts it could be? Something old and forgotten?

nope no other emails i even tried to log on to steam shop on the net and it ask for confimation code
