Lan-ing a steam game?
Quick question for the masses, i have command and conquer 3 - tiberium wars on steam, and a friend of mine has the same game in hard copy form.
now i would assume it would be easy to lan, however my friend refuses to install steam  So can we still lan?

I have the game but not installed (on Steam). It's not a steamworks game and if it does indeed support LAN, there should be no reason as to why it won't work as far as I can see. For this game, C&C3 on Steam was just a delivery method, nothing to do with server connections.

LAN is supported in the game. Used to play it a bit with my son (non-steam copies), but steam shouldn't come into the equation so long as you both are running the same patch version of the game - i.e. he'll need to be patched up to the latest official version.
