backing up steam
ok question im building a new rig monday or tuesay
can i just pill out the steam folder in my c drive and copy it to my new hard drive or do i need to do a back up i really dont want to download the games again cheers yogi ps were can i get the program to move steam games from 1 drive to an other as im gettin a 128gb ssd ill only have 1 or 2 games on there at a time or can i tell steam to install on my secondary drive as i want BO and dirt 3 on my ssd mainly and swap dirt 3 with battlefield 3 when it is out

copy the entirie steam folder 6gb or massive size normally depends on games it would be c:/ program files >>> Steam, then on the backup delete the clientregistry.blob file ... when you copy all this over again on new system restart steam it will ask for full user name and password and recreate client registry
