Game is currently unavailable
When trying to load bc2, I get a warning saying "This game is currently unavailable, please try again later" I have had this for two days now and have tried everything in the steam support thread on it. I have reinstalled steam (or most of it) I have reinstalled bc2 and am now out of options
Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Your not running steam filter are you? If so try disabling it.

Use TCPView to see what Steam is up to. It may be looking for servers. Also as what KR said, are you using Frey's or Steamwatch to force it to download from particular Valve servers?

Yep, I've tried everything, I've now sent a support request to steam and am waiting for their response.
Tried a full reinstall of steam and now it says I need to put in a code for the new computer, but I am not getting the emails. When I put in the support request I got an automated email saying they will respond soon which came from the same domain, so now I'm really annoyed.

Again, have you ever used Frey's Steam filter? If you uninstall the filter without disabling it you must install it again to disable it.

Have you ever used them though? A mate swore he had uninstalled /disabled these filters but we found them still active in the task manager.
Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) > Processes tab > Show processes from all users. This is where he found steamwatch still running under the user SYSTEM ... |
