I am hearing wonderful, wonderful things about this game. Has anyone played it yet, or have experience with the XBox 360 version?

I am wondering if the PC version changes anything for the positive or negative. Controls, graphics, etc...

Probably going to buy this tonight, will report back. Any info?

I can't really say enough good about this little gem. The narrator is very fun. The controls and gameplay are very smooth. The weapons, upgrades, etc are fun to work towards. There are mini games along the way to train you in your weapon use and give good rewards depending on score.

Fun little gem, this one is. I am not to the end and I don't know how long it is. I expect that for the lower price, it may not be extremely long.

Great stuff!

Decided to pick this up too, after hearing all about it. Just a gorgeous looking game, and very very playable. The narration is such a cool feature.

The narrator sounds (to me) a lot like Sam Elliot in The Big Lebowski. I keep expecting something like " Darkness washed over the Kid - darker'n a black steer's tookus on a moonless prairie night."...

Movement can be a bit annoying - you seem to running in diagonals a lot - its easy to fall to your death. The way the environment falls into place as you walk is very cool as well.

So many weapons, upgrades, and potions to play around with as well.

I agree with you on the controls and it is the only thing I have a minor complaint about. It is obviously due to the game being made for a controller, then ported.

I would state this: After a few hours, I am now not bothered by it and pretty good at moving around. Secondly, falling off the path does NOT kill you, and only drops your health a very little bit.

If anyone is looking for info or reviews and listens to podcasts:

Gamers with jobs podcast episode 250 and 251 spend a ton of time on it. They can't say enough about it and heap praise on the game. "This game has been an unrelenting cavalcade of joy" is the quote I remember from the host.

Weekend confirmed also spends a lot of time on it in the last few episodes. They are also extremely exited about the game.

If you don't subscribe to those two podcasts, I suggest you do. I find many gems for games from listening to them.
