After checking the error file it was a Mo Creatures error. I put the mod in the Coremods folder instead (on the server) and all is good

Oh my god what a horrible seed... The Spawn area is about a 50x50 island in the middle of the ocean lol...

Which was the mod that was disabled with the brightly coloured Ores that are lit up even in the dark?

Unfortunately it also has corn, which would be cool to grow, but I can't stand those shiny ores

On a lighter note, the new seed almost spawned me IN a volcano...

Yeah, I'm growing to quite like Xycraft now that I've been using it in singleplayer. So my initial dislike of it is gone.

As for a seed starting on a lone island, so long as it has 1 tree, that sounds like an amazing start area! Unless it was a biome with no growable food. That would be... less than ideal =)
