FTB Mindcrack server restart requests

restarted. We hopefully will have the auto reboot working by the end of today.

Sor, Obsi, Henri, and anyone else on the admin team I've forgotten, thanks for putting in all the work for this. I enjoy FTB a lot, and, as much as it might be frustrating for me when I want to play and the server's being difficult, I imagine it's much worse when you want to play and you can't because you're the one who actually has to fix the server when it's being difficult.

Thanks Irimar and community. It's great to see the positive way the Division has taken to FTB, with all its little bugs its been great fun to play and has added some new life to our forum. It can be a little frustrating in the background

I did an audit of all the addons and our FTB is up-to-date at this point for 1.4.2.

Also playing with some additional content which involves Install - Test - Crash - Uninstall - Rethink, over and over

Sor is doing some great work with the Server scripts at the moment, for things like the Auto restart.

It's great to see all the work going on in-game with some really impressive structures and machines populating our spawn area.

Quite literally. Testing stuff using Frontier so it is regularly being turned off and on.

How does the restart script work, is it essentially

while true do
Run ftb_server
end

or is it more complicated than that? I have a feeling it might be

Edit: came up for less than 5 minutes and went down again.

Perfect timing. I have just started it with the new script. Hopefully it will restart the server next time it crashes, giving you the normal warning message. Consider this a field test.

[update] which it sort of failed. FTB has different crash messages to Frontier so I'll keep working on fixing it.

FTB is working now anyway.

Up for 1 minute and down again. 3 crashes in 8 minutes.
