As stated by others thanks a million for your effort, time and sweat to Sor and all those in admin. Of course real life takes priority. It is only a game - much loved but still only a game. If it takes days to get up again so be it. If it is too big a headache and we have to revert to our previous efforts or some other condition I am sure we will understand.

Thanks for the work Sor.

I've just finished a 14 hour shift and to be honest, I'm glad I'm not being distracted by MC haha

Night all.

8 hours....any updates?
Well we've narrowed it down to the fact spawn is broken.... It's a bit laggy but otherwise fine well away from spawn, but if you disconnect at spawn, you can't reconnect, and sometimes traveling to spawn will disconnect you. As to anything more than that - still working on that :/

Guess we just have too much stuff in the chunks that are loaded by default around spawn. It would kind of make sense as we are centered around there. I always notice as I move away from spawn the chunks load just fine, but as I head towards spawn there are lots of chunk loading delays.

Still no good news. I have been optimising things for the server but it hasn't helped. The main problem is that spawn is inaccessible except by foot or jetpack. I imagine various other places in the worlds are also hard to connect to. Attempts always crash the player, sometimes the server as well. A number of you have left machines running which will have contributed to this (cf. http://www.theoldergamers.com/forum/...e-running.html) but we are still investigating other options/solutions.

So I'm afraid you will just have to wait a bit longer. Perhaps a spot of building on Frontier or PvP in the WildWest section may help your withdrawl symptoms?

Not a bad idea at all! I've been watching the TNG season 2 BluRay in our downtime, been meaning to get round to watching it.

Thanks for the update Sor. Can't thank you enough for all the effort you put into running our division

I went around turning off some of these machines to try and reduce the lag. Where I was unable to locate a lever/torch that powered an engine, I have removed the engine and placed it in a chest next to where it was.

Those places who have a master switch that can turn all the machines off in one easy flip of a lever - well done to you! :Þ
