cant seem to d/l the myst mod...
The page linked has two big buttons - download and play, however neither works for me....just get a blank page (plus they look like adds?)

Yup, that website is a blog type deal, so you need to scroll down to the post that has the download (a bit silly, but whatever). Go to this link (the post you need) and you'll see the link you need to download Henri has pointed to in the pic above:

then go to ftb launcher
select the mindcrack pack then "edit mod pack" "open folder" place the .rar in there that is the mystcraft you downloaded enable the mod
use edit down at the bottom of the FTB launcher to place your user name and password in then run the game from the FTB launcher
I think that's about it am sure one of the more experienced players will fit whatever I may have screwed up took me a bit to get it happening also

It does have new monsters and lots more items, but hopefully less lag and crashes etc etc. The Admin team is just working out what we need of it and its shortcomings. If the difficulty level is too high, we can lower it. However, every new Survival world seems like this at the start. Once you make a base and settle down, the mobs become little more than pesky neighbours.

you can also download that mystcraft file and save it into your "installed mods" folder in Mindcrack.

The map should be much easier than FTB, as we had that set to Hard, and the Mindcrack is set to Normal. A lot more gear to play with though. The new mobs are interesting, i kept getting zapped by a little flying thing.

Free starter packs of 10 Iron are available at spawn for all new players to create your first tools.

A reminder to not expect this world to stay. This is for testing. This may be gone by tomorrow. We want you to test it and potentially break it. This world is not ready ready for normal playing.
