the missing chunks are probably from an unclean shutdown. Probably need to make sure I stop the server before shutting it down next time. Sorry about that.
The disk the minecraft server is running on is the same - its RAID1 iSCSI, so the RAM is different, but its network disk. I switched it to a different frontend on the cluster to balance the load a bit better.

btw, the mindcrack server pegs a cpu thread at 100% constant usage and takes 4.5G of RAM. Its a beast.
