Default Complaining machines on Mindcrack

A number of you have had to shutdown machines like the RotaryMacerator to stop errors flooding the server. This is what they say:
Quote:
2013-02-03 12:32:53 [WARNING] [IC2] API ERROR: ic2.advancedmachines.common.TileEntityRotaryMacera tor@65753c0a didn't implement demandsEnergy() properly, no energy from injectEnergy accepted although demandsEnergy() returned true.

The reasoning behind it is not clear yet. Though some people are blaming the mod developers for not cleaning up their debug code. We will get back to you if it is something you can do as players.

Switching to the pulveriser, does the same job (2x dust)

Hmmm...is there a list of problem machines? I'd hate to spend all of the effort to build one of those only to be asked to shut it down.

They are all IC2 machines. So far people have had to shutdown rotary macerators, centrifuge extractor, an extractor and a recycler. However, I am yet to find anything saying it is specific to the machines.

Since it is an energy problem it may have more to do with the energy source and power, the machine and the chunk the block is in. It is sounding like a bug or problem with IC2. The mod developers have been told about it for a month at least but updating doesn't necessarily fix it. I am yet to find clear instructions on how a player can minimise the chances of it happening.

didn't implement demandsEnergy() properly, no energy from injectEnergy accepted although demandsEnergy()

sounds like energy problem to me

I'd say it's an energy problem.... Earlier we had the rotary macerator problem, Skovilles and Deweys were running and didn't seem to be causing the problem (when they were turned off the problem didn't stop), but when Cnafe turned his off, that's when the server stopped complaining.

If this is only a problem with advanced machines, there are three of them according to this post:
[Addon 1.112] Advanced Machines 4.7 - Pending Addons - IC˛ Forum

Rotary macerator, centrifuge extractor and singularity compressor. Likely, other machines shouldn't create this problem. And it's not like you need those machines anyway, as far as I know they only reduce power consumption a bit.

According to the IC2 bug tracking, the updated versions of IC2 fix this problem. However, updating the server config itself may not necessarily address the issue as there is conversation indicating the updated version is not included in the latest FTB back.
