Default Quarries allowed on Minecrack Overworld and Wasteland

As indicated in http://www.theoldergamers.com/forum/...ml#post3769690 , the Admin team has been discussing quarrying and other automated mining mechanisms on the Mindcrack server. With the new Myst worlds added, the suitability of quarries on different dimensions was questioned. Various points were discussed, including the depth, content and design of the dimensions as well as their purpose and style. The issue of danger to players was considered, both on the dimensions in general and whether quarries would change that. The suitability of the present quarry rules was not really the issue. The issue was whether quarrying was suitable outside the Overworld.

The decision was made that automated mining will only be allowed on the Overworld and on the Wastelands, following the existing rules in both cases. Therefore, all mining on the Twilight, the Nether, the End, the Jorune Skylands and in the Caverns has to be done by handtools. This can include handheld mining lasers.

The TOG Minecraft Server Code of Conduct will be adjusted to indicate this.

Thanks,

Sorontar

Does the Wasteland have any higher ore rates or was it set to normal?

And as always, thanks

The new Myst worlds have a few surprises, good and bad. That's all I am saying

That makes me want to do some regular mining first.

I've done some regular hand mining in the caves, and it has been very productive, especially down deep. I haven't done more than surface mining on the wasteland, so no clue as to the minerals there....perhaps that is worth an expedition. This time, I am going in with Enderchests!
