FTB: Gunpowder
 

I'm sure I'm not the only one needing a lot of gunpowder now that I'm going after some of the more advanced items so I've been looking at the best ways to get the stuff.

I've tried pulverising Netherrack and sandstone which worked but is time consuming and it takes a lot of Netherrack and Sand (at least you can make the sand from the products of pulverising the Netherrack).

I started down the road of making a Creeper spawner but that part of FTB has been disabled.

I even used some UU-Matter but it felt like a waste of a lot of time and hard work just for gunpowder.

I've gone back to hunting Creepers with a Looting III sword.

Anyone else have some tips and tricks on the best way to source a lot of gunpowder to make the Industrial TNT?

Thaumacraft might help you can transmute to gunpowder

You can also "simply" build a mob spawn tower. With the pipes it's ever so easy to automate.

coal dust sulfur and saltpeter will do it :)

1 x coal dust (top left)
1 x sulfur (middle top)
2 x SP (middle left and centre)

If you have lots of Saltpeter it is easy peasy

how so ?

I'v make several grinders veary easy

He's talking about Soul Shards. We don't have that enabled.

Bees :) I produce around 15* stacks in 8 or so hours

Edit: Should have been 15 not 50 stacks.

Austure bees, you need to breed to them.

You'll be trying to breed bees with fairy-horses won't you?
