Default Mindcrack: Community plants at spawn

Hey there, when I went to spawn today to do the UU thing I went around looking at the unusual plants and noticed a few blocks empty, anyhoo I right clicked a couple and most gave me back a seed pod and a plant, I replanted the seed pod but some seed pods said 'unknown' which puzzled me but I replanted them anyway

Also one plant I right clicked on and no seed pod or plant came out .. it just left the sticks, is that normal? - was not sure what to do and thought it might just grow back .. is it a percentage chance thing?

I've been growing standard crops, wheat carrots potatoes, and not very seriously, but i think you at least get one item from each plant with right clicking and it just re-grows automatically.

When you RIGHT CLICK (as the signposts above each flowerbed tell you to do), it harvests the plants - leaving half the plant there to regrow again. Which gives you dye from the flowers or sticky resin from the reeds with orange nubs.

When you LEFT CLICK, it destroys the plant, leaving empty sticks - and you usually get a seed packet to grow the plant again.

The seed packets need to be analysed in a special handheld machine thing before you know what they are - it comes up as unknown seed otherwise (which is why the seed packets in the chest have the names and stats of them - I analysed them for people, so you'd know what they are).

Leaving empty sticks (crops) allows weeds to grow unless you (continually) treat the ground with weedex until a plant grows there. Once weeds grow in one block they will transfer to other blocks and destroy other plants in the beds. If there is an actual plant in each spot, weeds don't grow.

Which is why all the blackthorn plants are now all gone, half the roses are gone and lots of other plants are gone - someone left clicked and destroyed the plants, didn't replant the seeds and left empty crops - allowing weeds to grow which destroyed the rest of the plants in that bed.

Which is why the other day, I spent quite a lot of time harvesting the middle plants, so I could analyse the seeds and put them in the chest for people, crossbreeding to get a bed full of the purple tulips, babysitting the growing plants and empty spots to make sure no weeds grew - and I left it with fully grown plants in each bed.

Given some blocks are non-tilled, that looks like someone has also stood on the garden bed in some places. Because there is a water block in the centre of each bed, hydrated tilled land only reverts to dirt if it's stepped on.

Eventually weeds turn the tiled dirt to grass if left. It's what happened in my neglected garden

I think the only reason they give nothing when harvested its when they havent fully matured, you lose the crop and the seed bag, basically everything. But if you haven't ever done any plant breeding then its hard to know what to look for as its not the same as vanilla farming.

Also, currently, stepping on tilled land generally doesn't un-till it. You actually have to jump up and down on it. Some creatures do this almost by default, so if one got in there it would be a pain.

The horse was removed by its owner, and the gardens replanted and fixed from that a week or so ago.
