Default Buzz Buzz Buzzzy Bees

Hey there, just wondering if any of you guys are experienced in bee breeding.

I have been trying to breed the rocky-stone-hardy strains in the hopes to get more metallic/gem style bees, but I am having problems with offspring numbers. The rocky bees tend to only have 1 drone offspring and therefore makes cross breeding rather difficult.

Is there an easy way to increase the number of offspring? I had read on a forum somewhere that you can use the soul frames in the apiary to increase offspring, but that doesn't seem to work for me that I have noticed - still only getting the 1 drone offspring each time.

Cheers,
Kaz

That google docs spreadsheet is awesome! I had been using Bee Species - FTB Wiki and Bee Site to work out which bees to breed to get what I wanted. There is so much to choose from though, much like the rest of the ftb-modpack.
