The CPU load on Exe's machine is higher than it needs to be. For this reason, we have shut the Mindcrack server down for a while, then will let it run for a while with no players allowed on so our Thaumcraft fixes can be implemented. Hopefully things will sort themselves out.

I will tell you when players can join the server again in this forum.

Well, yes and no

Having players on will always be the ultimate test, but the stability and behaviour with only me on the server doing nothing needs to be tested. It has already crashed at least once even with changes. But various things are looking better. So trying and testing other things.

And it still loves raining at spawn.

I might not have from bedrock to the sky of machines to turn on and off, but I've got an ok setup.

I assume you have considered upgrading to version 8 of mindcrack? As I see it a higher version SHOULD provide at least some bugfixes that could potentially fix some problems, such as the raining for example. But I don't know, maybe there are other things preventing you from doing the upgrade?

Yes, we are going to test the additional mods with Mindcrack 8. This is part of the reasons why it will take time.

So we are cleaning up the aura, trying a few new java settings and planning for a server update, possibly on Tues or Thursday. We need time to check it doesn't crash as often before we let players on. We'll update you asap.

I am also planning a discussion session in about a week where the Admin team can explain lots of things to you in Mumble and more. I'll update you when that is sorted out. I want to do it after

At this rate, we will either let you back on Tues night or Thursday night if all goes well. Our lives restrict our timetables.
