Seems another AAA MMO has caught the F2P bug. Coming to a browser window near you on Aug. 18.

Looks like they're hedging their bets though - the f2p server(s) will be running in parallel to the existing subscription servers. Quite a few limitations for non-subscribers, too. (link to chart of membership levels)

Still, for casual play I can see the potential.

Yeah, in an interview on Massively they said as much, keeping both options going and see which way the player base leans. Not a bad idea, really. They can get the best of both worlds, and if one options is obviously the more popular, they can then put more resources into that.
