Champions Online - Now F2P

I don't know if this is old news to anyone but I got an email yesterday giving me the date of when CO will launch as F2P. Jan 25th.

Yeap it is offical 25th Jan, the game does suffer with lack of content but its quite addictive and worth a look if youve always wanted to try it out but didnt want to pay.

Yeah will probably give it a shot, I like to try most things at least once, while I await Rift and GW2.

I'm planning on giving it a shot. I played the game during the free week last year and had a lot fun. As dcuo is a no go for me, this will subsidize quite nicely

Has the TOG Chanpions Online board gone along with the in-game Supergroup?

I'm just about to come back to this game as a F2P player and was going to look at signing up...

Right now there's no formal TOG Division, but there are TOG players and a TOG SG. Post and say hi. If there's enough steady interest we can look at reforming the division.

I loved making different characters and back stories, but it sucks that every single character has the same quests and storyline...

While i am no longer offically the GL for champs Optimus there is still an active SG with active officers. Rourke and myself still hold the leadership in game and ive promoted a few active people there to officers so there should be still enough people about to add you. I still play on occasion as well. I wont be disapearing from the game totally as i have a life time sub so i will keep an eye on things in champs so that people dont get left out in the rain and are unable to be added to the SG.

On a side note im going to use this op just to remind everyone that although there is no offical leadership for champs on the forums all the TOG rules still apply.

Thanks for the replies guys. Good to know that the TOG super-group is still out there.

I'm not looking for an amazingly active SG (as I can't promise that I'll be amazingly active member ) but I like to be a part of TOG in any games I play here.
