Lineage 2 free to play
 

Hey guys

Are any TOGers planning on jumping into Lineage 2 now that its free to play? Im going to check it out and it would be much more fun with a group of people to play with :D

I'm on Shilen server, used to play when it was retail, but went back thanks to the F2P

I haven't played this game in years, is it as grindy as it used to be? Looks like they have opened some new servers, that's good news for people who are just starting.

There is a minimal amount of grinding so far, though I'm only in the high 40s/low50s right now. The vitality system gives bonus xp, and the quests are way better in terms of rewards. Couple that with lowered xp required to level and it's a much better game.

Gonna jump back in this .... remember having lots of fun playing before...

They've also added a reward system they call the "Path to Awakening", which basically you login to the website and they give you rewards for levelling up, which you use to help you level up faster

The end game is pretty much large clan PvP right? (and lots of farming). Messed around with it but realized I had no real goal as world PvP games tend to need some serious time commitment.

They have added a few more things to do endgame besides just grind, farm, and PvP, including being able to level up 3 subclasses on the same character, level pets which give you bonuses or act as mounts, global events. But mostly, yes, PvP is the main focus endgame, and it can be massive castle sieges, clan vs clan, or even a mass free for all event every 2 weeks.
