CrossFire features 2 international Mercenary Forces, locked together in an epic global conflict.
Players assume the role of either a Black List terrorist or Global Risk anti-terrorist mercenary, joining an onlline team that must work together to complete objective based scenarios.
There are 7 modes of play:
TEAM DEATH MATCH - Players work together to kill the enemies a designated number of times, or get more kills within a time limit.
SEARCH & DESTROY - Black List team attempts to destroy a designated area by planting C4, while Global Risk attempts to intercept.
ELIMINATION MATCH - Similar to T.D.M., only the players do not respawn when killed, and it runs on a basis of rounds instead of kills or time limit.
GHOST MODE - (My Favorite) - BL team are cloked in invisibility (while not moving), and are only armed with melee weapons, while all GR mercenaries and fully visible and can use all weapons available. BL must use stealth to plant C4 at ddesignated targets while the GR must defend the targets and kill any of the ghosts. Another way to find the BL ghosts is to listen for their heavy breathing.
FREE-FOR-ALL - Kill anything that moves while you fight to stay alive.
SPECIAL MODE - fully manipulated by the player
MUTATION MODE (NEW) - 1-2 players are infected and turned into mutants 20 seconds into the round. (Sounds alot like Combat Arms) The infected ones must try to spread the infection to the rest of the players. The humans try their best to kill the mutants, but the mutants start out with 4000 hp or higher.

The latest update for the free-to-play online shooter, Cross Fire is ready for you to lock and load, with this one bringing a new map and two new guns to the action. The update will auto-download for those already setup to play, and the new additions include the "Chinatown" Team Deathmatch map, the M37 Stakeout pump-action shotgun and the Galil ARM, an assault rifle-machinegun hybrid. The update also brings more power to the game's Replay feature, making it even easier to relive your proudest moments.
