as a kinda older ,47 im hoping that as i get older and reaction skills, eyesioght ,etc get worse, technology will start making that up..easier ways to use other than the mouse...getting " in" the game might make it easier...i just couldnt bear to see the time when my wrists go out or i cant see the screen or not being able to sit for a long time

A good article. At 60 I can relate to all the comments made by TOOGers. Wotfor is in my COD squad and I just hope I wiil still be gaming at 78 years of age like him. Wotfor your a legend.
Do any of you guys remember the BBS online games and pacman space invafers and all the text adventure games ... oh god I'm having a senior moment lol...

A good read indeed.
![]() What comes as a constant shock to me though is that there is such a range of ages in TOG, almost 60 years is a pretty decent spread in anyone's book. Btw I don't know if it's only me, but I am never conscious of the age of people in here the way I was in other forums where the limit was the standard 13+...I'd have to say that TOG was a great leveller in that respect. (We are all 'TOG' year olds ) |

Those guys rock - I wanna be just like them when I grow-up!
![]() (Seriously, mad props to our TOOG members because I'm headed that way rapidly and they'll have to pry my keyboard/mouse and controllers out of my cold dead hands before I'll give up gaming!!! LOL)

Nicely done Ninox.
My only concern with technology advance is that one day games will be so virtual that your toon will run when you run on a treadmill or something horrible like that. Hell I would need to get fit to play <shudders at thought> could be hard to do when I'm 90 and on a walking stick like my Dad.

Absolutely loved it and the comments here in the thread. As one that is getting closer to that TOOG level (43). Complete agreement. Will be here as long as I am able to. My mind will ever be sharper than my body. Thank goodness for living vicariously (sp?) through my character.
