Very nice review. I want one even more now. Think this will be hooked up pretty soon in my house.

How did the clip thing compare to the hat? Was it just as good? Better perhaps?

The first video link in the rFactor/GTR2 section isn't working btw.

Cheers mate I'll check it out and fix, both work brilliantly mate, the real difference is that the clip uses its own active IR LED's and the hat simply reflect the signal from the TrackIR. That being said I am actually using the Clip now simply because I don't have to wear a visor and I always game with headphones so I don't even know its there.

If you're into sims it's a pretty neat thing to have, I use it in rFactor, Test Drive Unlimited and FSX.

Racing games are better with TrackIR then without and I will always use the TrackIR there from now on.
If you like FSX then don't even think twice about getting one of these as that's where every possible movement of the TrackIR is supported, I'll never fly without it again. Even more so, if you have purchase a TrackIR you'll probably get FSX just for the sake of making the most of the TrackIR experience, very statisfying.

I use the clip as well as I always use a headset for gaming.

Another quick question for ya. What track is that in the first (rfactor) video clip?

It's Grand Valley mate, the East section reverse, a guy built it from scratch to match the Gran Turismo track here

It's without a doubt the worst looking track in the whole of rFactor but hey that's just my opinion

I agree mate, but the layout is a hell of a lot of fun especially in the wrx or evo
